Role:

We are looking for a skilled video editor with a strong design sense to help shape Surma’s visual identity across short-form videos and photo assets. 

Responsibilities:

• Edit short-form videos (mainly Instagram Reels, UGC-style videos, and branded content) 
• Create smooth transitions, on-screen text, and layouts that maintain a visual rhythm.
• Retouch and edit photos for website and social media.
• Design basic graphic elements (text overlays, typography, motion graphics, etc.) in line with the brand aesthetic.
• Maintain consistent brand aesthetic (color tones, fonts, and overall visual identity) across all content.
• Organize and manage video projects, footage, and media assets efficiently.
• Deliver quick cutdowns, variations, and optimized versions for social. 
• Ability to assist or shoot video and/or photo content during shoot days is a plus.

Skills & Requirements:

• 3-6 years of experience editing for fashion, beauty, or lifestyle brands. 
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop. (DaVinci is a plus) 
• Strong understanding of color grading, pacing, and sound design.
• Attention to detail and a clean, minimal aesthetic. 
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Ability to deliver fast turnarounds while maintaining quality. 

Bonus if you:

• Follow fashion and beauty trends on Instagram/Reels.
• Have experience editing influencer or performance-style ads.
• Understand performance metrics (hooks, thumb-stop, retention). 
• Know your way around AI and modern editing tools (CapCut, Runway, Veed, Canva etc.)
