Job Summary

Job Title: Software Testing Engineer Location: TechM Chennai TMCC Years of Experience: 5 7 Years Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Software Testing Engineer with a strong focus on automation testing, particularly in cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have 5 7 years of experience in software testing, with a proven track record of implementing automated testing solutions that enhance software quality and efficiency. This role requires a detail oriented individual who can work collaboratively within a team to ensure the delivery of high quality software products. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for cloud based applications. Collaborate with development teams to understand application functionality and create comprehensive test plans. Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools. Perform regression testing and ensure that new features do not adversely affect existing functionality. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality. Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency. Stay updated with the latest testing tools and technologies, particularly in cloud automation. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior testing team members. Mandatory Skills: Strong experience in cloud automation testing. Proficiency in automation testing tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or similar. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, or JavaScript). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git). Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices. Experience in API testing and tools like Postman or SoapUI. Preferred Skills: Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner). Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Experience in mobile application testing. Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5 7 years of relevant experience in software testing, with a focus on automation. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
