Job Summary

Detailed JD: Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with web front end teams, product owners, and content strategists to ensure backend services align with business and user needs. Create and manage custom ServiceNow tables, APIs, scheduled jobs, and server side scripts to drive content workflows and indexing. Ensure high availability and performance of search services across multiple sites. Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms to proactively detect and fix issues with content or search relevance. Work with platform teams to enforce data governance, access control, and content lifecycle management. Evaluate and leverage out of the box vs custom ServiceNow capabilities to continuously improve backend service efficiency. Maintain technical documentation and provide operational support to dependent web teams. Required Skills & Experience: 8‿10 years of total experience in software or platform development, including 4+ years working hands on with ServiceNow. Strong skills in JavaScript, Glide scripting, Script Includes, and Scheduled Jobs within ServiceNow. Solid experience designing backend APIs, data structures, and integrations to support content delivery and search. Experience working with search configurations and indexing logic in enterprise scale web environments. Ability to troubleshoot issues across content pipelines and identify root causes across system components. Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments with distributed teams. Preferred/Good to Have: Develop and maintain ServiceNow based content and search services that support dynamic web content delivery for internal and external websites. Build and optimize search indexing pipelines, content retrieval logic, and metadata models using ServiceNow capabilities. Knowledge of ServiceNow Search Source configurations, indexing strategies, and performance optimization. Familiarity with REST APIs, OAuth, and third party content feeds. ServiceNow certifications like Certified Application Developer (CAD) or CIS ‿ App Engine. Exposure to web content platforms (e.g., AEM, Drupal) and how backend services feed them.
