Job Description

Job Summary:

The Route Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales growth, managing distribution, and maintaining strong customer relationships within a specific, assigned geographical route or territory.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales and Target Achievement:

  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales volume and revenue targets for the assigned route.
  • Actively identify and enroll new retail points and outlets to expand the distribution network.
  • Upsell and promote new products and existing high-margin items to current customers.
  • Negotiate sales terms, place accurate orders, and ensure product delivery schedules are met.

2. Customer Relationship Management (CRM):

  • Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with all retailers and store managers on the route.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints, order discrepancies, and collection issues promptly and professionally.
  • Communicate company promotions, schemes, and pricing changes clearly to all customers.

3. Financial and Documentation:

  • Collect payments (cash, checks, or digital) from customers and ensure timely and accurate remittance to the company.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of sales transactions, outstanding balances, and daily sales reports.
  • Ensure all invoices and delivery notes are correctly signed and processed.

4. Vehicle and Product Care:

  • Oversee the safe loading and unloading of products in the delivery vehicle.
  • If required, operate a company vehicle or sales van and ensure it is kept clean and well-maintained.
  • Monitor the integrity of the product (e.g., cold chain maintenance for perishable goods) until it reaches the customer.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Skills: Proven track record of achieving sales targets, strong negotiation skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Licensing: Possession of a valid [Specify Driving License Type, if sales vehicle is operated] is preferred.
