Sr. QA Engineer

Job Description

Automation Expertise: Proven experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks using Java/JavaScript and tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, and Playwright. Hands-on Testing: Solid background in end-to-end UI, integration, and functional testing especially in eCommerce environments. API Testing: Proficient in tools such as Postman or Insomnia REST, with the ability to write comprehensive test scenarios for APIs. CI/CD Integration: Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps. Agile Methodology: Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum processes and ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify roadblocks in the testing lifecycle and implement practical solutions. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure clear and consistent collaboration across teams and with business stakeholders. Self-Starter: Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, along with a continuous learning mindset. What s needed Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in software QA, including automation, integration, and UI testing in eCommerce environments Strong hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript, Selenium, Cucumber, and Page Object Model (POM) Exposure to AI-enhanced automation tools (e.g., Playwright or similar) API testing experience with Postman or similar tools Familiarity with Jira and test management tools like Zephyr or ALM Experience with database validation and integration testing (Oracle, Couchbase, MySQL) Strong experience using version control and test case management systems Prior experience supporting sprint-based development and contributing to in-sprint automation What s needed Preferred Qualifications: Experience working on large-scale eCommerce platforms Familiarity with modern database integration tools and systems Exposure to accessibility testing or performance testing is a plus Knowledge of Azure cloud environments and related testing frameworks
