Sr. QA Automation Engineer

As a Senior Automation QA Engineer at Bottomline, you will be an integral part of our team, utilizing your expertise in manual and automation testing to ensure the delivery of exceptional solutions in an Agile/Scrum environment. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams, designing and executing functional test cases, automating test scripts, reporting defects, and participating in root cause analysis to drive quality process improvements. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge automation tools such as Selenium and RestAssured, contribute to developing frameworks, and actively participate in Agile ceremonies. Your role will involve analyzing and reporting test results, metrics, and insights, advocating for quality, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality results. To excel in this position, you should possess 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, outstanding problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of SaaS QA methodologies, agile/scrum methodologies, web and RESTful services testing, and automation tools. Proficiency in QA automation using Java/Maven, SQL database queries, and familiarity with programming languages like Python and Groovy are highly desirable. Preferred qualifications include certifications in Scrum, Agile, or Quality Assurance, previous experience in a large-scale SaaS or financial technology environment, familiarity with cloud-based solutions, microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, containerization, and orchestration tools. Additionally, working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Git, and exposure to the banking & finance domain would be advantageous. A BE or higher degree in computer science, engineering, or a relevant field is required for this role.
