Role Summary:

Senior Pattern Master – Optitex 2D

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop first patterns, size sets, and graded nests using

  Optitex 2D CAD software

  .
• Analyze design sketches, tech packs, and specifications to create accurate digital patterns.
  
• Ensure proper

  fit, balance, and drape

  of garments through pattern adjustments and virtual simulations.
• Collaborate closely with

  design, merchandising, and sampling teams

  during product development.
• Conduct

  virtual fitting and pattern correction

  sessions before physical sample cutting.
• Check and approve

  sample patterns

  prior to production handover.
• Maintain digital pattern library and version control for all styles.
  
• Liaise with production and quality teams to ensure

  pattern accuracy and manufacturability

  .
• Train and guide junior pattern makers in

  Optitex operations and pattern development best practices

  .
• Work with fabric shrinkage reports and ensure necessary pattern corrections before bulk cutting.
  

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Expertise in

  Optitex 2D software

  (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of

  garment construction, grading, and fit standards

  .
• Ability to interpret

  design sketches, measurement charts, and tech packs

  .
• Attention to detail and precision in pattern engineering.
  
• Understanding of

  fabric properties, shrinkage, and pattern allowances

  .
• Good communication and coordination skills.
  
• Team-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  

Qualification & Experience:

• Diploma / Degree in Garment Technology, Fashion Technology, or related field.
  
• Minimum

  8–12 years

  of experience as a Pattern Master in apparel manufacturing (woven/knit).
• At least

  3–5 years of hands-on experience

  in

  Optitex 2D CAD pattern making

  .
• Experience with global brands or export markets preferred.
