As a Sr. Oracle Database Administrator, your primary aim is to address issues related to Data Migration, including Validation, Clean-up, and Mapping, while also understanding the importance of Data Dictionaries. Key Responsibilities: - Installation, configuration, and upgrading of Oracle server software - SE, EE & RAC and related products. - Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures. - Database design and implementation skills would be an added advantage. - Implement and maintain database security by creating and maintaining users and roles, assigning privileges, and monitoring databases. - Perform database tuning and performance monitoring. - Perform application SQL query tuning and performance optimization. - Setup and maintain documentation and standards. - Plan growth and changes through capacity planning. - Perform general technical troubleshooting and provide consultation to development teams. - Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support. - Manage Patch Management and Version Control. - Implement Data Replication using Data Guard and Golden Gate. - Set up DR site and DR failover. Experience Level & Qualification: - 3-5 years of experience as a DBA. - Preferably Oracle certified DBA. - Preferably a BS in computer science or related engineering field. Essential Skills: - Good understanding of the Oracle database, related utilities, and tools. - Good understanding of Data Replication Software such as Data Guard and Golden Gate. - Good understanding of the underlying operating system. - Knowledge of physical database design. - Ability to perform Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring. - Knowledge of all Oracle backup and recovery scenarios. - Understanding of Oracle security management. - Knowledge of Oracle resource management. - Understanding of Oracle data integrity. - Sound knowledge of implemented application systems. - Experience in code migration, database change management, and data management through development life cycle stages. - Sound knowledge of database and system performance tuning. - Strong communication skills with management, development teams, vendors, and systems administrators. - Provide strategic database direction for the organization. - Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines. - Possess a sound understanding of the business. - Fair understanding of Oracle database development. - Proficiency in RHEL and Windows Operating systems for DBA specific activities. Additional Skills: - Knowledge of Postgres and Oracle to Postgres migration will be an addon.,
