Sr Merchandiser Apparels & Accessories

You are being offered a position as a Sr. Merchandiser Apparel & Accessories in a buying house located in Gurgaon. As a Senior Merchandiser, you will be responsible for managing both accessories and apparel, coordinating product development and sourcing in collaboration with the Director and Merchandise Manager. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage the development to production process efficiently. - Work closely with garment factories to negotiate and achieve the best prices. - Ensure seamless coordination with internal colleagues on development issues. - Monitor suppliers and production market to stay updated on the market situation. - Collaborate with local and overseas technical teams to meet Brand requirements such as fit, fabric, yarn, color, wash, quality assurance, and production techniques. - Review tech packs and samples with fit tech to ensure product requirements are met. - Liaise with the Fabric team to ensure timely submission of quality and obtain approval. - Maintain clear and timely communication with all counterparts including clients, Fabric teams, and Technical teams. - Provide updated market information to customers regarding style, fabrics, delivery, etc. - Share information on competitors' activities within your market access. **Qualifications Required:** - College degree or equivalent work experience. - 8-12 years of related work experience in sourcing and production. - Strong technical knowledge in woven/knit/sweater categories. - Detail-oriented with strong planning and coordination skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in English. - Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
