Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Position: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for mechanical design and development of enclosures, chassis, and assemblies for power electronic products such as inverters, converters, and battery chargers.
• Prepare and review detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and 3D models using AutoCAD / SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software.
• Design sheet metal and fabricated parts, ensuring manufacturability, ease of assembly, and cost optimization.
• Coordinate with the fabrication and assembly teams to ensure product design meets production and quality requirements.
• Involve in thermal design, mechanical layout planning, and structural integrity verification of enclosures.
• Conduct prototype evaluation, fitment checks, and implement design improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, production, QA) for smooth product realization.
• Maintain design documentation, revision control, and engineering change management.
• (Added Advantage) Participate in vendor development, including evaluation of fabrication vendors, quality checks, and process improvements.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other 3D CAD tools.
• Hands-on experience with sheet metal design, fabrication drawings, and enclosure assembly.
• Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes, tolerancing, and material selection.
• Understanding of IP protection, thermal management, and mechanical safety standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to coordinate between departments and vendors.
• Exposure to railway / industrial / defense power electronics products will be an added advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
