Sr. MEAN/MERN Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Lead MEAN/MERN Engineer to own the full-stack development lifecycle across frontend, backend, and database layers. This role requires strong expertise in architecting and building applications with Angular/React, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB, along with relational databases. The Lead Engineer will guide the team, ensure best coding practices, and deliver enterprise-grade web applications.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Lead the design and development of web applications using MEAN (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js) or MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) stacks.

• 
  Build scalable, maintainable, and reusable frontend and backend components.

• 
  Design database schemas, queries, and optimizations (MongoDB + relational databases like MySQL/PostgreSQL).

• 
  Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL for web/mobile applications.

• 
  Ensure responsive UI/UX implementation in collaboration with designers.

• 
  Optimize application performance, scalability, and security across the stack.

• 
  Perform code reviews, technical mentoring, and knowledge sharing with the team.

• 
  Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure timely project delivery.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience in full-stack development, with at least 3 years in a lead role.

• 
  Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, and either Angular or React.

• 
  Proven experience in database design, indexing, query optimization, and handling large datasets (MongoDB + SQL).

• 
  Hands-on experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, authentication & authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT).

• 
  Solid understanding of frontend frameworks (Angular/React) with responsive UI implementation.

• 
  Strong knowledge of application architecture, MVC patterns, and microservices.

• 
  Experience with version control (Git) and Agile methodologies.

• 
  Familiarity with cloud-hosted applications (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.

• 
  Excellent problem-solving, team leadership, and communication skills.

• 
  Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
