Sr Manager UX Research (Enterprise Tools)

As a Senior Manager of Product Research

You ll be well-positioned to make an impact as a member of a friendly and high-performing

team operating at the heart of Target s growing digital business

In this role, you will lead the team responsible for user research across our guests, team members, and vendors

You ll think holistically about the methods and tools we utilize to answer research questions across the organization

You will leverage your influence and expertise to increase the impact of research insights and research strategy

You will manage the performance and development of the team providing meaningful feedback and career conversations

You ll use your expertise to provide work direction and guidance ensuring that researchers and their skills are continually improving

Coaching team members on

tactical research skills, softs skills, and growth within their careers

You ll bring empathy and guest insights to every business problem

You ll participate in guest research and leverage data to inform design decisions

You ll help to define research priorities, objectives, and results with product, engineering, and business partners

You ll push work

forward with high standards and an approach that follows the voice of the guest

You ll collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of UX leaders, product designers, UX writers, engineers, product managers, accessibility consultants, and data analysts

You ll recruit, hire and mentor world-class product research talent that exceed expectations of product and business partners and leadership

You ll prioritize research resources and the work they re involved in, placing team members on high priority initiatives that complement their

skills, career ambitions, and growth opportunities

About you:

7+ years experience in digital software product work, with user experience emphases in research

Demonstrated experience in research design and methodology

Must provide examples of successful UX team leadership and mentoring

Expert skills in both in-person and remote UX research methodologies and synthesis

Demonstrated knowledge in digital accessibility best practices and standards

Proven ability to successfully lead large-scale projects and initiatives involving multiple cross-functional teams

Demonstrated strategic problem-solving and collaboration skills

Experience using data to answer product questions and ability to partner with data analytics

Ability to work well in a large organization with many partners and lead through ambiguity

Demonstrated experience communicating research recommendations that integrates data insights with user insights

Must work well independently and understand modern design and prototyping tools (such as Figma, Sketch and InVision)
