Job Description

Role Overview:

This position acts as the 2nd line to the Chief Sustainability Officer, focusing on ESG reporting, sustainability governance, and cross-functional coordination across the company Group for ESG initiates.
The incumbent will support to manage ESG data systems, disclosures, supplier audits, and BRSR compliance while also providing local coordination support for impactful sustainability projects at plant and regional levels.

Role & responsibilities:

1.Corporate Sustainability Framework & Integration

Support the CSO in strengthening and implementing the ETL Corporate Sustainability Framework across all plants, business units, and functions.
Coordinate periodic sustainability and ESG review meetings with site and corporate leadership teams, ensuring consistent alignment and follow-through on action points.Maintain structured progress tracking for ETLs Net Zero,  2030 Goals, RE100, SBTi, and BRSR commitments.Assist CSO for governance-level support for internal sustainability reporting to the Board, Audit Committee, and Risk Management Committee (RMC).

2.ESG Reporting & Data Management:

Support data collection, validation, and consolidation for BRSR, SEBI, and ESG rating submissions.
Coordinate with plant and functional teams for accurate and auditable ESG data management through digital tools (e.g., Ground ESG / Sparrow).Support external assurance and ESG audit activities with agencies such as SGS, TUV, and CII.Prepare monthly dashboards and quarterly management decks summarizing progress on sustainability KPIs and governance updates.

3.Supplier Sustainability & External Engagement:

Manage supplier sustainability audits, evaluations, and declarations in collaboration with SCM and supplier quality teams.
Support implementation of the Sustainable Supply Chain Framework aligned with OEM expectations and Scope 3 reduction goals.Engage with customers and partners (e.g., Tata Motors, Mahindra, Bajaj, etc.) for ESG data submissions and reporting alignment.Track supplier-level sustainability performance indicators covering environmental, social, and governance aspects.

4.Stakeholder Reporting & Communication:

Support preparation of the Annual BRSR Report, ESG Disclosure Pack, and Corporate Sustainability Report.
Coordinate inputs for ESG rating agencies (CRISIL, SES, EcoVadis, MSCI) and external benchmarks.Draft internal communications, newsletters, and awareness materials showcasing ETLs sustainability progress and achievements.

5.Local Coordination & Project Support:

Collaborate with plant sustainability, ENCON, and HSE teams to identify and drive high-impact local sustainability projects.
Support CSR, HR, and administration teams in community-oriented sustainability programs (tree plantation, local awareness campaigns, green workplace initiatives, etc.).Facilitate knowledge sharing and capacity building by integrating learnings from site initiatives into the ETL Corporate Sustainability Framework.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Education:

    B.E./B.Tech or M.Sc.(Environment / Sustainability / Industrial / Energy) with MBA or PGD in Sustainability / ESG / Environmental Management.
  • Experience:

    08- 12 years of experience in

    ESG, Sustainability, or Governance roles

    within the manufacturing or automotive sector and have MNC explore will be preferred
  • Strong understanding of

    BRSR, SEBI, ESG rating frameworks, SDGs, GRI, and SBTi.

  • Prior experience in

    supplier engagement, sustainability reporting, and cross-functional coordination.

  • Excellent

    data analytics, presentation, and stakeholder communication

    skills.
