Role & responsibilities

• Conduct thorough legal due diligence of lands, plots, and properties before acquisition or development.
• Verify ownership titles, encumbrances, and government approvals.
• Draft, review, and vet agreements such as Sale Deeds, Lease Agreements, Joint Development Agreements (JDA), Power of Attorney, MoUs, and Construction Agreements.

2. Compliance & Approvals

• Ensure compliance with RERA, stamp duty, registration, and other real estate-related laws.
• Coordinate with government authorities for statutory approvals, licenses, and clearances.
• Maintain updated knowledge of changes in laws, rules, and regulations applicable to real estate.

3. Contracts & Agreements

• Draft, review, and finalize vendor contracts, consultancy agreements, service agreements, and purchase orders.
• Negotiate terms with external stakeholders to safeguard the companys interests.

4. Litigation & Dispute Resolution

• Handle property disputes, land litigation, customer grievances, and recovery matters.
• Liaise with external lawyers and law firms for effective representation in courts and tribunals.
• Prepare responses to legal notices and draft pleadings, affidavits, and replies.

5. Risk Management & Advisory

• Advise management on legal risks and mitigation strategies in business operations.
• Provide legal support in joint ventures, mergers, and acquisitions in the real estate sector.
• Assist sales, marketing, and customer service teams with legal queries related to projects.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors / Masters Degree in Law (LL.B. / LL.M.).
• 712 years of experience in

  real estate legal matters

  (preferably with developers, real estate companies, or reputed law firms).
• Strong knowledge of property laws, RERA, contract laws, and compliance requirement.

• Language:

  English & Tamil (must); Hindi/Telugu/Kannada (preferred)
• Experience in litigation and dispute resolution.
