Job Description

Role & responsibilities The GM QA/QC will be responsible for setting up, implementing, and monitoring the quality management system across all real estate construction projects. The role ensures that construction works meet the required quality standards, specifications, and legal compliance, while proactively identifying and correcting any quality-related issues. Key Responsibilities: 1. Quality Management System: Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC policies and procedures. Ensure quality standards are followed in design, procurement, construction, and handover stages. Conduct regular audits and site inspections to assess quality performance. 2. Site Quality Monitoring: Supervise quality assurance and quality control teams across project sites. Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, and safety standards. Ensure proper workmanship and construction practices. 3. Material & Workmanship Quality: Review and approve quality of materials and construction techniques. Coordinate testing of construction materials (cement, steel, concrete, etc.) at third-party labs. Ensure traceability of materials and proper documentation of test results. 4. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain QA/QC documentation for all projects including test reports, checklists, and inspection logs. Generate regular quality status reports and highlight non-conformities. Present monthly QA/QC summaries to senior management. 5. Vendor & Contractor Evaluation: Evaluate and approve vendors/contractors from a quality perspective. Ensure quality compliance in outsourced construction activities. Guide vendors on required quality specifications and standards. 6. Training & Continuous Improvement: Conduct quality-related training for engineers, site supervisors, and workers. Introduce quality best practices and continuous improvement initiatives. Implement root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality failures. Required Skills & Competencies: Deep understanding of QA/QC systems in construction and real estate. Strong knowledge of IS codes, NBC, CPWD, and other relevant standards. Proficiency in quality audit tools and software. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred Experience: Residential & commercial real estate projects (mid- to high-rise buildings). Large-scale project execution and team management. Prior experience with reputed developers or construction companies.
