Sr. HVAC Design Engineer

As an HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing HVAC systems for oil and gas projects that are efficient, cost-effective, and tailored to specific operational needs. Your role will involve collaborating with stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety standards, energy efficiency, and project requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Design and optimize HVAC systems for oil and gas facilities, including air conditioning, ventilation, heating, and cooling systems. - Conduct load calculations to size HVAC equipment and ensure optimal system performance. - Integrate HVAC designs with other mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for seamless functionality. - Implement energy-efficient design practices and technologies to reduce operational costs and environmental impact. - Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards in HVAC system designs. - Collaborate with project managers and engineers to align HVAC designs with project schedules and client needs. - Review and optimize existing HVAC systems to enhance performance and cost-effectiveness. - Prepare detailed technical documentation for HVAC systems and provide troubleshooting support during construction and operation. - Identify and address potential risks with HVAC system design, operation, or maintenance. - Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, sharing knowledge of best practices in HVAC design and operations. Requirements: - M-Tech in HVAC Engineering or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC system design, installation, and maintenance. - Technical skills in HVAC system design, load calculations, equipment selection, and energy-efficient technologies. - Knowledge of regulatory standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and local building codes. - Soft skills including analytical thinking, communication, teamwork, and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in designing HVAC systems for offshore platforms, refineries, or petrochemical plants. - Familiarity with BIM software or similar tools for HVAC system design. - Experience in system commissioning and troubleshooting in industrial or remote locations.
