Sr. Engineer / Asst. Manager - Planning For Commercial IT Prak Project

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced planning professional to manage the complete planning and scheduling functions for a commercial building construction project. The role involves preparing baseline schedules, tracking progress, coordinating with execution, design, procurement, and QS teams, and ensuring the project achieves its timelines through effective monitoring and control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare baseline project schedule covering civil, structural, architectural, MEP, and faade works.
  • Develop WBS, activity sequencing, dependencies, and project milestones. • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly progress and update the schedule accordingly. • Prepare look-ahead schedules, identify delays, update critical paths, and propose recovery actions. • Coordinate with design, procurement, contracts, QS, and execution teams for inputs and updates. • Track drawing approvals, material submittals, long-lead items, and delivery schedules. • Prepare S-curves, manpower histograms, productivity charts, and MIS reports. • Support procurement planning with delivery timelines and vendor dependencies. • Assist in cost forecasting, time impact analysis, and progress measurement. • Generate progress reports, dashboards, and documentation for management and clients. • Ensure all planning data, logs, and schedules are updated and maintained accurately. • Organize & participate in internal and site coordination meetings and highlight risks or delays.

Desired Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of scheduling using MS Project.
  • Good understanding of commercial building construction processes and sequencing. • Ability to prepare and interpret micro-level schedules and resource plans. • Strong analytical skills with good command over Excel and reporting. • Capable of coordinating with multiple stakeholders and ensuring timely updates. • Good communication, problem-solving, and planning discipline.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 6–8 years of experience in planning for commercial, high-rise, or large building projects.
