The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the design, development, and validation of hydraulic control systems. This position involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and customer support, to develop innovative solutions that align with Husco's strategic objectives. Under general supervision, the engineer will evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering principles to various assignments, ensuring that project deliverables meet quality, performance, and timeline expectations. The role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth, allowing the engineer to work independently on projects, manage day-to-day activities, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our products and processes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with relevant experience in hydraulic systems and product development. Candidates with 4 to 6 years of experience holding a bachelor's degree or 3 to 5 years with a master's degree are preferred. Demonstrated expertise in applying core engineering principles, analytical techniques, and simulation software is essential. Familiarity with hydraulic components, schematics, and testing methodologies is required. Proficiency in Creo 9.0 or higher for modeling and design, along with experience in simulation tools such as ANSYS Fluent, CFX, Maxwell, or Creo Simulate, is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Design new hydraulic products utilizing standard engineering principles, calculations, and fit, form, and function considerations.
  • Maintain and manage comprehensive engineering documentation, including drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), specifications, and technical reports.
  • Utilize 3D modeling tools like Creo 9.0 to develop and review product designs, and act as a checker for Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Work Orders (EWOs).
  • Perform structural, CFD, magnetic, and system-level simulations to analyze and optimize hydraulic component designs.
  • Define testing goals, develop test cases, and monitor product performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct hands-on testing, build prototypes, and perform repairs both in-house and at customer sites, providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance.
  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring timely product launches by coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Plan, schedule, and control engineering projects to meet quality, cost, and performance objectives, including supplier development and production line readiness.
  • Communicate project status, technical documentation, and instructions effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives post-launch to enhance product performance and manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in project management activities, including risk assessment, resource allocation, and timeline management.
