Sr. Design Engineer - Electricals & Controls

As a Design Engineer at Ingersoll Rand, your role will involve designing Electricals, Controls, IIOT & Digital Engineering solutions for Compression Systems & Services in the MEIA region. You will drive engineering initiatives to support growth, cost savings, product integrity, and customer requirements through innovation and engineered solutions. Your responsibilities will include: Responsibilities: - Design Electricals & Controls for Life Cycle Engineering (LCE), Customer Engineering (CE) & New Product Development. - Collaborate with product management to ensure alignment with marketing strategies. - Coordinate with Mechanical Design Teams and other cross functions for effective implementation of plans. - Resolve field problems related to product performance and quality. - Ensure compliance with regulations and standards. - Perform competitive benchmarking in emerging technologies. Basic Qualifications: - 6-8 years experience in Electricals & Controls Engineering, Embedded systems, IIOT & Digital Engineering. - Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Science/Instrumentation/Embedded Systems/Controls/IIOT/Digital Engineering. Key Competencies: - Experience in design & development of automation systems. - Proficiency in PLC / DCS / SCADA automation software & industrial communication protocols. - Knowledge of motor/drives/power electrical selection & electrical panel design. - Hands-on experience in IIOT & Digital Engineering preferred. - Strong project management skills. - Understanding of manufacturing capabilities & supply base in Electricals & Controls domain. - Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
