Sr. Contracts Engineer

As a Procurement Specialist at our company, your role is crucial in ensuring timely and effective procurement of services through consistent sourcing methodologies aligned with defined category strategies. Your active involvement will include understanding departmental requirements, negotiating with vendors, executing orders, managing post-award contracts, and fostering strong supplier relationships. **Key Responsibilities:** - Ensure availability of the right services according to operational needs. - Coordinate with user departments to validate purchase requisition accuracy before floating RFQ. - Collaborate with user departments to establish vendor qualification criteria. - Verify selected vendors meet defined qualification standards. - Maintain timely and accurate service availability at required locations. - Provide uninterrupted service support to user departments within your responsibility scope. - Ensure vendor resource mobilization aligns with contractual timelines. - Develop internal cost estimates for category items prior to negotiations. - Actively participate in vendor negotiations to secure optimal rates and service value. - Ensure compliance with all procurement procedures and PSC norms for awarding contracts and purchase orders. - Respond effectively to internal and external audit issues related to procurement. - Uphold high ethical standards in procurement dealings in line with corporate values. - Foster strong working relationships with contractors. - Implement supplier feedback mechanisms for continuous improvement and review contractor input. - Engage regularly with contractors to communicate organizational expectations and understand supplier challenges. - Conduct periodic evaluations of vendor performance to ensure quality and compliance. **Qualifications Required:** - 5-7 years of procurement and contracting experience. - Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a recognized institute.
