Job Description (JD) for a Commis De Partie (CDP) who can operate Elan Pro, Unox or Rational Owens (ovens) for cooking: Job Title: Commis De Partie (CDP) – Oven Specialist (Elan pro / UNOX / Rational) Location: [MUMBAI] Department: Kitchen / Culinary Reports To: Sous Chef / Head Chef Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and passionate Commis De Partie (CDP) with hands-on experience in operating Elan pro,UNOX or Rational ovens to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes using advanced combi-oven technology, maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety. Key Responsibilities:Operate and maintain Elan pro,UNOX and/or Rational ovens efficiently for baking, roasting, steaming, or grilling as per menu requirements. Prepare ingredients and dishes in accordance with recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards. Monitor oven temperatures, timings, and settings for optimal food quality and consistency. Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and menu execution. Ensure proper maintenance and cleaning of ovens and related kitchen equipment. Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP standards). Assist in inventory management and requisition of supplies as needed. Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times. Train junior staff on oven usage and basic cooking techniques when required. Requirements:Proven experience as a CDP or DCDP, preferably in hotels, restaurants, or cloud kitchens. Familiarity and hands-on experience with Elan pro ,UNOX and/or Rational combi ovens. Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, portioning, and food presentation. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure. Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Culinary diploma or certification is preferred.
