As a Procurement Category Manager at Micron Technology, you will play a crucial role in driving and executing category strategies, managing supplier relationships globally, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver strategic solutions. Your responsibilities include: - Working with direct and cross-functional teams to plan strategic sourcing direction for the category - Recommending targets for spend reduction, sourcing efficiency, supplier management, and supply base optimization - Defining and delivering category cost savings and scorecard metric targets - Monitoring and reporting progress to targets - Adjusting category compliance in areas such as risk, spend, quality, and supplier management - Communicating sourcing trends and results for FE categories to the leadership team - Leading strategic programs to improve spares-related operational activities and processes - Acting as the primary point of contact for assigned Tier-2/Tier-3 suppliers - Driving negotiations with suppliers to achieve cost reductions - Performing commercial supplier qualification activities - Maintaining collaborative relationships with suppliers and resolving performance/capability issues - Ensuring supplier compliance with Micron's business ethics and corporate policies - Communicating key updates and decisions to multiple levels in the organization - Leading spares-related strategic programs and initiatives - Initiating effective communication with stakeholders, partners, and suppliers - Driving proactive approaches when solving issues and representing Procurement - Managing conflict and building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders - Providing advice to senior management on strategic decisions related to the category - Implementing processes to monitor stakeholder satisfaction for key suppliers Micron Technology, Inc. is an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions, focusing on technology leadership and operational excellence to deliver high-performance products.
