Role Overview: As a Senior Automation Engineer at Northern Trust, you will have the accountability to design automated test solutions catering to Production stability targets in the application context. Your role will involve defining and documenting test strategies, planning, and scenarios. You will also be responsible for designing and maintaining robust automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, UFT, LeanFT, and implementing frameworks such as Page Object Model (POM) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) for scalable testing. Additionally, you will write and execute automated test scripts for web, API, and database testing using tools like RestAssured, Postman, and Appium, and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins. Key Responsibilities: - Define and document test strategies, plans, and scenarios. - Create and manage test data, organize test runs, and prioritize automation candidates. - Design and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, UFT, LeanFT. - Write and execute automated test scripts for web, API, and database testing. - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins. - Conduct quality reviews of test scripts and frameworks. - Work closely with developers, architects, and QA teams to identify issues and design solutions. - Leverage GitHub Copilot and custom VS Code extensions to generate and optimize test cases. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field and equivalent experience. - Experience in designing automation frameworks for large-scale projects. - Experience in designing unattended automation test suites. - Experience in creating custom automation solutions and improving test automation efficiency. - Experience in designing solutions that simplify complex problems and promote reusability. - Strong hands-on experience in DevOps implementation (Jenkins / ADO / Bamboo). - Experience in code review to improve the resiliency of automation scripts. - Experience working on multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix). - Good understanding of application monitoring tools like Dynatrace. - Familiarity with Agile Methodology Scrum/Kanban and project management tools like Azure and Jira. - Related Certifications in areas of Computer Infrastructure, Testing.
