Job Description

Thoroughly evaluate Form Fit Function compliance, prioritizing Form and Fit requirements.
Review designs for manufacturability and conformance with customer and industry standards.
Analyze deviations in Form and Fit, propose corrective actions, and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
Provide detailed feedback and recommendations for design improvements based on form and fit analysis.
Inspect and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), specifications, and supporting documentation.
Ensure products meet quality standards through detailed assessments and by participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to resolve product and process concerns.
Participate in design reviews, supplier meetings, and validation activities related to FFF.
Prepare clear technical reports summarizing findings and recommendations for internal and customer communication.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field.
At least 4 years of experience in an application engineering or quality engineering role, with an emphasis on Form Fit Function evaluation.
Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve form and fit issues.
Proven track record in quality assessment and quality improvement.
Effective communicator, capable of working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Desired Skills and Competencies

Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on Form and Fit.
Familiarity with root cause analysis and corrective/preventative action processes.
Experience using 3D CAD software and product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
