Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description: As an Associate in US Accounting at our Mohali, Punjab office, you will play a crucial role in the financial operations of the company. Your responsibilities will include reviewing, verifying, and processing vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies. You will also be responsible for auditing and processing employee expense reports, resolving discrepancies, and performing monthly AP account reconciliations. Additionally, you will assist in maintaining compliance with company policies, US GAAP, and SOX (if applicable), and serve as the primary contact for vendor inquiries and disputes. Building positive relationships with vendors and ensuring accurate vendor records will also be part of your key responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies. - Ensure proper approvals and coding of invoices. - Audit and process employee expense reports in compliance with company policies and US regulations. - Resolve discrepancies or queries related to expense reimbursements. - Perform monthly AP account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly. - Assist with the reconciliation of vendor statements and ensure accurate record-keeping. - Maintain compliance with company policies, US GAAP, and SOX (if applicable). - Serve as the primary contact for vendor inquiries and disputes. - Maintain positive relationships with vendors and ensure accurate vendor records. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar). - Strong MS Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.). - Knowledge of US GAAP is mandatory. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. - Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
