Sr. Accountant

Role Overview: As a Senior GL Accountant at the Pune GL team of our company, your primary responsibility will be to maintain the General Ledger of key entities within the TomTom Group. You will play a crucial role in ensuring complete and accurate accounting, performing month-end close activities, and leading various FSSC projects such as acquisitions, geographic expansions, system enhancements, and process improvements. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct monthly group/business unit reporting and variance analysis - Maintain a consistent internal reporting structure across various subjects including employee expenses, IT, facility costs, and foreign exchange - Perform analysis on Transfer Pricing reporting and entity profitability drivers - Analyze group IC positions and collaborate with the Cash Management team to optimize group IC cash movements - Manage preparation of year-end audit schedules and cooperate with internal and external auditors - Prepare data for various tax returns and ensure statutory compliance for the entities under your responsibility Qualifications Required: - Education in Accounting or Finance, with CA qualification being a must - 1-3 years of relevant experience - Excellent analytical skills and solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting policies - Experience with Excel and a recognized ERP package like SAP would be advantageous - Previous experience in an international company/shared service center is beneficial - Fluency in English (written and verbal) is essential,
