Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate 2D Artist to join our creative team at ChicMic Studios. The ideal candidate will bring strong artistic skills, creativity, and a keen eye for detail to produce visually stunning 2D assets for games, apps, and digital media. You will collaborate with designers, developers, and animators to ensure cohesive and high-quality visual storytelling across projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Create 2D characters, environments, backgrounds, props, and user interfaces.
• Develop concept sketches, illustrations, and storyboards based on project requirements.
• Work closely with developers, designers, and animators to ensure cohesive art integration.
• Optimize and prepare art assets for multiple platforms (mobile, web, and desktop).
• Maintain and develop visual style guides to ensure consistency across all project assets.
• Implement feedback from clients and team members to refine and enhance artwork.
• Contribute to frame-by-frame animations for characters, objects, and visual effects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Animation, Graphic Design, or related field.
• Proven experience in 2D art and animation, preferably in the gaming or app industry.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Figma, and other relevant design tools.
• Familiarity with AI image generation tools (MidJourney, Leonardo.AI, Stable Diffusion).
• Knowledge of UI/UX design principles specific to game design.
• Experience with frame-by-frame animation workflows.
• Strong portfolio showcasing 2D art, animation, and concept work.
• Excellent creative vision, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities within cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with 3D art software (Blender, ZBrush, Maya) will be a plus.
