Job Summary:

SQL Server DBA

Responsibilities:

Manage
SQL Server on Linux EC2, ensuring uptime, security, and high availability.
Automate daily DBA tasks (provisioning, patching, backups, performance tuning) using scripting and IaC.
Use
Terraform
(and/or
CloudFormation
) to provision, scale, and manage cloud database infrastructure.
Build proactive monitoring and self-healing operations with AWS services (CloudWatch, Systems Manager, Lambda).
Implement automated backup and recovery strategies with S3 integration.
Collaborate with DevOps to integrate database operations into CI/CD pipelines.
Drive the evolution of DBA practices toward Database SRE through continuous automation and observability.

Mandatory Skills:
MS SQL DBA, Linux, AWS RDS

Nice to have skills:

Kubernetes, Terraform
