Job Description

We are looking for a skilled SQL Database Engineer with 7 to 12 years of experience to join our team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration and performance tuning, with excellent communication skills.
Roles and Responsibility

Diagnose and resolve issues related to database performance, capacity, replication, T-SQL, and other technical problems.

Proactively monitor databases for errors and respond quickly to troubleshoot and resolve ongoing issues on all environments.

Maintain and monitor systems on-prem or in AWS/Azure.

Coordinate and schedule DB downtimes for maintenance procedures such as patching and upgrades.

Define backup and recovery strategies using technologies like NetApp Snapshots, SnapCenter/Snap Manager for SQL, Idera SQLSafe, or Native SQL Server Backup/recovery Tools.

Perform advanced database administration activities including performance tuning, T-SQL tuning, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.

Create and update CAI's database documentation about standard procedures, DB technology features, or production issue troubleshooting.

Stay current with changes in the technical area of expertise.

Support highly available production systems using technologies such as Database Mirroring, Log Shipping, Windows/SQL clustering, and Availability Groups.

Work with development teams to deploy code in production when needed and participate in on-call rotations.

Job

Minimum 7 years of experience in SQL database administration.

Strong knowledge of SQL Server DB technologies and performance tuning.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently on multiple concurrent projects.

Experience with backup and recovery strategies, and disaster recovery solutions.

Familiarity with cloud-based platforms such as AWS/Azure.

Educational qualificationAny Graduate or Postgraduate degree.
