SQL Database Engineer

As a Database Engineer with at least 8 years of experience, you will be responsible for various tasks related to SQL Server Development, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) for Database Deployments, and optionally PostgreSQL. Your main responsibilities will include designing and optimizing complex T-SQL queries, developing and maintaining stored procedures, triggers, and user-defined functions, and implementing best practices for database security, indexing, and data integrity. You will also troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and optimize queries for improved efficiency. In addition, you will be designing and developing robust SSIS packages for ETL processes, managing data integration workflows, implementing error handling and performance tuning within SSIS packages, and automating and scheduling SSIS package executions using SQL Server Agent or other tools. You will also be involved in automating database deployment processes using Sqlpackage.exe and DACPACs, integrating database deployment steps into CI/CD pipelines, and managing version control for smooth transitions between development, testing, and production environments. While experience with PostgreSQL is not mandatory, it would be considered a plus. Basic to intermediate knowledge of PostgreSQL database design, querying, and administration, as well as an understanding of PostgreSQL-specific features such as advanced indexing, stored procedures, and extensions would be beneficial. You may also contribute to cross-platform database projects involving PostgreSQL in a development or production environment.
