SQL Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer (Resident Engineer) to work onsite in Kuwait for a 1-year project(can be extendable). The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting SQL Server database solutions, ensuring performance, security, reliability, and smooth operations in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Perform database performance tuning (query optimization, indexing strategies, execution plan analysis).
• Work closely with application teams to support data integration and application performance.
• Monitor database health, manage alerts, troubleshoot issues, and provide production support.
• Implement and manage backup/restore, disaster recovery support, and high availability best practices.
• Support database deployments, change requests, and release activities (CI/CD support where applicable).
• Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and provide knowledge transfer to stakeholders.
• Participate in client discussions and act as onsite technical point-of-contact for DB-related tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–7 years of hands-on experience as a SQL Developer / Database Engineer.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2017/2019/2022 preferred).
• Strong command over T-SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with SSIS / ETL concepts (preferred) and data migration activities.
• Knowledge of Azure SQL / Azure Database services and cloud concepts.
• Hands-on experience in database administration tasks (monitoring, backup, restore, security).

Mandatory Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹170,000.00 - ₹225,000.00 per month
