SQL Data Tester -India

Job Summary (List Format) – Information Technology - SQL Data Tester (Offshore, India)

• Position: SQL Data Tester (Remote, India)
• Contract: 6 months (possible extension)
• Work Hours: Flexible, with 3-5 hours overlap with CST
  

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated SQL test cases to validate data transformations and data quality.
• Perform end-to-end ETL testing, primarily using SSIS and other Microsoft BI tools.
• Validate data integrity, accuracy, and performance across ETL pipelines and data platforms.
• Collaborate with developers, data engineers, QA analysts, and DevOps teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Integrate SQL and ETL testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery/deployment.
• Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies in data.
• Contribute to development of automated test strategies and reusable SQL test frameworks.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in automated SQL testing, focusing on data validation and transformation.
• Proficiency in ETL testing, especially with SSIS.
• Experience working in CI/CD environments and automating test pipelines.
• Good understanding of relational databases and data warehousing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  

Preferred/Nice To Have

• Experience with tSQLt for SQL Server unit testing.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and cloud-based data integration.
• Knowledge of SQL linting tools and best practices for code quality.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Candidate should be prepared for communication via WhatsApp, Viber, or Google Meet for interview and coordination.
• Priority given to candidates with tSQLt, ADF, and SQL Linting experience.
