Job Purpose: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead, coordinate, and execute projects within our building materials division. The role involves managing all phases of project life cycles from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with strategic goals. The Project Manager will play a critical role in leading cross-functional teams, managing client relationships, and driving continuous improvements in project processes. 1. Understanding Project Requirements: Sales teams in construction chemicals start by understanding the specific requirements of the project. This includes the type of construction (e.g., residential, commercial, industrial), the environmental conditions (e.g., climate, exposure to chemicals), and the performance expectations (e.g., strength, durability). 2. Product Selection and Recommendation: Based on the project requirements, the sales team recommends suitable construction chemicals such as concrete admixtures, waterproofing systems, sealants, adhesives, coatings, and specialty chemicals. These products are selected to meet the projects technical specifications and performance criteria. 3. Customization and Tailoring: In some cases, customization of products may be necessary to address unique project challenges or specific client preferences. This could involve adjusting formulations, providing specialized packaging, or developing new solutions through joint development projects (JD projects). 4. Technical Support and Consultation: Sales teams often provide technical support and consultation throughout the project lifecycle. This includes assisting with product selection, conducting trials and tests, providing application guidelines, and troubleshooting issues that may arise during construction. 5. Value Proposition: Emphasizing the value proposition of construction chemicals is crucial in project sales. This includes highlighting benefits such as improved durability, enhanced performance, reduced maintenance costs, and compliance with regulatory standards. 6. Relationship Building: Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders in the construction industry is vital. This includes architects, engineers, contractors, developers, and consultants who influence the selection of construction chemicals for projects. 7. Bid and Tender Processes: Participating in bid and tender processes is common in project sales for construction chemicals. This involves preparing competitive bids that demonstrate the organizations ability to meet project requirements effectively and efficiently. 8. Project Management and Logistics: Coordinating logistics and delivery schedules to ensure timely supply of construction chemicals to project sites is essential. This may involve managing inventory, transportation, and on-site support services. 9. After-Sales Service: Providing after-sales service and support ensures customer satisfaction. This includes addressing any issues post-installation, offering maintenance recommendations, and facilitating training sessions for end-users. 10. Market Intelligence and Trends: Staying updated with market intelligence and industry trends helps sales teams anticipate demand, identify new opportunities, and adapt strategies to remain competitive in the construction chemicals market 11. Sales Responsibilities To generate project business for the company in the defined territory identifying the prospective clients, generating business from the new & existing accounts and achieving increased sales growth; developing channel partners for Achieving business volumes Initiating and developing relationships with key influencers at sites. Handling existing dealers and developing new project dealers in the defined territory. Engaging maximum painting contractors for generating project business for company. Mapping of sites to create a database for extracting business in future through these Budgeting and planning for the institutional sales for a financial year of the depot.
