Job Description

As a Specialist Sales at the company, your role will involve managing activities and processes to ensure the Sales organization operates effectively and efficiently in alignment with business objectives. You will collaborate with Outside Sales Representatives, Inside Sales, support functions, suppliers, COEs, and Marketing to facilitate meaningful sales interactions, leading to an increase in outside sales capacity. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement in the sales process. **Responsibilities:** - Increase sales process efficiency by collaborating with internal departments to develop a backlog of selling opportunities for assigned Outside Sales Representatives. - Schedule sales calls and deploy Field Technical Specialists for specific areas such as lighting, gear, automation, and MRO. - Debrief salespeople and technical specialists post-customer visits, update the CRM database, and manage follow-up communication with internal and external customers. - Manage complex proposal development. - Co-develop pricing strategy with management and outside sales, ensuring consistency with margin improvement expectations. - Lead post-sale projects and coordinate with Inside Sales, suppliers, COEs, and customers for timely and accurate project execution. - Participate in scheduled meetings to track progress towards set objectives. - Serve as a subject-matter expert for critical customer(s) if designated. - Assist in distributing workload among the inside sales team in larger and/or complex operations. **Qualifications:** - 2+ years of experience in inside or outside sales, project management, business development, or operations management. - Understanding and research of vertical market conditions, challenges, and trends. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to multitask effectively. - Ability to prospect and market concepts to new and existing customers. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment. - Ability to negotiate inventory strategies and contractual opportunities. - Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office. - Knowledge of inventory value and total cost of ownership. - Proficient in managing and creating sales analysis, setting goals, and driving results-oriented activities. - Ability to anticipate emerging customer needs.
