Job Description

We’re seeking a compassionate special educator to join our team.

In this role, you will work closely with students with diverse learning needs, including disabilities, developmental delays, or behavioural challenges. Your primary responsibility is to design and implement individualised education plans (IEPs), create inclusive learning environments, and collaborate with parents, teachers, and therapists to support student success.

Tasks:

  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments and evaluations to determine students’ educational and behavioural needs.
  • Work closely with school administrators to ensure compliance with special education laws and regulations.
  • Adapt and differentiate lesson plans, instructional materials, and classroom activities.
  • Manage classroom behaviour using positive reinforcement and evidence-based interventions.
  • Implement multi-sensory and evidence-based teaching strategies to engage students effectively.
  • Advocate for students’ rights and ensure they receive appropriate accommodations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and communicate updates to families and administrators.
  • Provide training and support to other educators on inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Stay updated on best practices in special education and attend professional development sessions.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Special Education, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Certification or licensure in Special Education from a recognised institution in India.
  • Demonstrable experience working with children with learning disabilities, developmental delays, or special needs.
  • Knowledge of learning disabilities, speech and language disorders, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), ADHD, and other developmental conditions.
  • Experience using assistive technology and differentiated instruction techniques.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualised Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with students, parents, and educators.
  • Patience, empathy, adaptability, and a passion for supporting diverse learners.
  • Creativity in developing engaging, accessible learning materials.
  • Problem-solving skills to address unique educational challen
