South Indian Cook

The South Indian Cook is responsible for preparing and presenting authentic South Indian dishes such as dosa, idli, vada, sambar, rasam, chutneys, curries, and other regional specialties. The role requires a deep understanding of traditional South Indian flavors, cooking techniques, and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of South Indian dishes as per standard recipes and guest preferences.
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area as per food safety standards.
• Assist in planning menus, estimating food requirements, and maintaining stock levels.
• Ensure timely preparation and service during breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Monitor the quality and freshness of ingredients used in preparation.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures as per company policies.
• Coordinate with kitchen team members to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
• Handle kitchen equipment and utensils with care.
• Report any maintenance issues or shortage of supplies to the Sous Chef or Executive Chef.

Skills and Requirements:

• Proven experience as a South Indian Cook or Commis specializing in South Indian cuisine.
• Good knowledge of traditional South Indian spices, ingredients, and preparation methods.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple orders efficiently.
• Strong sense of taste, presentation, and cleanliness.
• Team player with good communication and coordination skills.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
