Role Overview: You will be joining a premium Indian restaurant in London as a Sous Chef, assisting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and team management. Your role will involve preparing high-quality Indian dishes, supervising kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, participating in menu planning, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and team management - Prepare high-quality Indian dishes with a focus on North and/or South Indian cuisine, maintaining consistency and presentation standards - Supervise kitchen staff, delegate tasks to ensure workflow efficiency - Ensure compliance with health and safety, food hygiene, and HACCP regulations - Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and cost control - Monitor inventory, order supplies, and minimize waste - Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen - Train and mentor junior kitchen staff Qualifications Required: - Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in an Indian restaurant - Deep knowledge of Indian spices, cooking techniques, and regional specialties - Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment - Passion for culinary excellence and innovation - Preferably possess a Level 2 or higher Food Hygiene Certification - Willingness to relocate to the UK and work under a sponsored visa Please submit your CV and a cover letter highlighting your experience with Indian cuisine and interest in relocating to London for consideration.
