Introduction
As a Sourcing RFx Tactical Buyer, you will be directly engaging with the IBM & Client Sourcing Team under the CPO organization of a Global Healthcare Life science client based out of North America. This role will be aligned cross category across Direct, Indirect, Enterprise, and R&D and involves transactional and administrative support across sourcing towers. You will be responsible for executing low-complexity tasks such as tactical buying, supplier negotiation support, reporting, contract management and sourcing execution. This role requires 610 years of experience in procurement operations.
Your Role And Responsibilities
- Understand end-to-end sourcing RFx procurement lifecycle
- Document processes with flowcharts and workflow mapping
- Work with client focal points to obtain process content
- Maintain version control and compliance documentation
- Support release management of process documents
- Provide training and refresher sessions
- Formulate strategies to move up the value chain
- Contribute to engagement profitability
- Ensure audit readiness of process documents
- Work with stakeholders and management efficiently

Policies, Procedures and Program Management
- Participate in policy reviews and recommend improvements
- Communicate procurement strategy and escalate service-impacting issues
Category Management and Sourcing Execution
- Lead sourcing initiatives and strategic planning
- Analyze and cleanse spend data to identify opportunities
- Finalize business requirements and budgets with stakeholders
- Evaluate market trends and supplier capabilities
- Align sourcing strategy with category strategy and business rules
- Document sourcing processes and maintain compliance records
Sourcing Execution
- Lead RFx events for medium complexity categories
- Create RFx documents and manage bid processes
- Evaluate supplier proposals and recommend preferred suppliers
- Prepare contracts and award letters
- Negotiate pricing and terms
- Support NDA/CDA creation and legal coordination
Contract and Compliance Administration
- Enter contracts into management tools
- Support implementation and communication of new contracts
- Assist in change management and stakeholder impact analysis
Category Buying Desk
- Execute tactical buys and sourcing events
- Provide supplier lists and specification feedback
- Maintain savings tracking and reporting
Cost Modelling and Supplier Performance
- Create should-cost models
- Prepare supplier scorecards and financial health data
- Lead supplier performance reviews and QBRs
Other Middle Office Activities
- Collect market intelligence and ESG data
- Support dashboards and reporting tools (SAP, Power BI, Sievo)
- Assist in master data updates and vendor records
- Contribute to process enhancements and digitalization initiatives
Escalation and Request Management
- Resolve P2P escalations and refer unresolved issues
- Manage non-automated client requests via Intake Workflow System
- Execute stakeholder requests not requiring S2P Lead support
Work the shift hours to support North America time zone (6:30 pm IST to 3:30 am IST/7.30 pm to 4.30 am IST)
