Job Description

As the individual responsible for the operation of a department, you will have the following key responsibilities: - Communicate with retail teams to align sourcing strategies, arrange buy trips, and manage critical issues during the order execution process. - Oversee factory capability and capacity, product quality, and on-time delivery. - Conduct supplier assessments and formulate the supplier matrix for an assigned category. - Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers. - Demonstrate awareness of trade and political issues for assigned geographies and incorporate them into sourcing proposals. - Understand buying objectives and product specifications and communicate with suppliers. - Negotiate product and price and develop alternatives to achieve sourcing objectives. - Identify and resolve pricing and factory issues with suppliers. - Partner with Merchandise Quality Engineers on problems related to quality. - Present sourcing solutions that mitigate risks while maintaining profitability. - Collaborate cross-functionally with various business partners and suppliers to understand business needs and priorities and develop optimal solutions to support. - Collaborate with the Global Supply Management team to align order strategy. - Leverage suppliers with different retail markets. - Mentor and guide team members with sourcing-related activities. - Understand supplier capabilities, capacity, and performance. - Plan factory visits to monitor production and assess factory capacity. - Use in-depth understanding of component pricing to provide cost-saving opportunities. - Actively participate in order placement decisions. - Lead sourcing initiatives/projects with cross-functional partners. - Provide coaching/guidance to team members on sourcing activities. - Continuously develop product and market knowledge and industry know-how. - Apply digitalization and new ways of working during sourcing activities. - Optimize strategic sourcing and procurement processes. In addition, you will be expected to coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. Furthermore, you must meet the following minimum qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in business, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or related area. - 5 years of experience in sourcing. - Bilingual in English and one or more languages used to transact business in the assigned country. - Project Management certification. Preferred qualifications include: - 7 years of experience in retail, manufacturing, or sourcing.,
