Role Overview

Suncart is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Solar Tracker Designing Engineer to design, analyze, and optimize solar tracking structures for utility and industrial solar projects. The ideal candidate should have strong mechanical design fundamentals and hands-on experience with structural/mechanical drafting and analysis tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop solar tracker structures (single-axis / dual-axis) based on project requirements.
• Create detailed mechanical drawings, BOMs, and assembly diagrams.
• Work with engineering teams to evaluate load conditions including wind, weight, and dynamic movement.
• Perform structural calculations and validate designs for strength, durability, and efficiency.
• Work on optimization of tracker designs for cost-effectiveness and ease of installation.
• Coordinate with vendors and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility.
• Support prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with solar industry standards, safety norms, and design guidelines.

Candidate Requirements

• Must have B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in solar structures, trackers, steel structures, or mechanical systems.
• Strong skills in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar).
• Basic understanding of structural analysis (STAAD, ANSYS, or equivalent – advantage).
• Good knowledge of materials, fabrication methods, tolerances, and mechanical components.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams (design, R&D, vendors, procurement).
