Solar PV Civil Draftsman

*Job Title:* Civil and Structural Draughtsman – Solar Engineering

*Job Summary:*

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented *Civil and Structural Draughtsman* with expertise in *AutoCAD (2D/3D) to support our solar engineering projects. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing high-accuracy civil and structural drawings for solar PV systems, including site development plans, foundation layouts, and support structures for both rooftop and ground-mounted installations.

*Key Responsibilities:*

•⁠ ⁠Develop detailed civil and structural drawings using AutoCAD (2D/3D) for solar power projects.

•⁠ ⁠Create 2D models of solar structure layouts, including racking systems, foundations, trenches, cable routing, and access roads.

•⁠ ⁠Work closely with civil and structural engineers to ensure designs meet project specifications and industry standards.

•⁠ ⁠Prepare general arrangement drawings (GADs), sectional details, and fabrication drawings.

•⁠ ⁠Update and revise drawings based on engineering feedback, site conditions, or client inputs.

•⁠ ⁠Ensure accurate layer management, drawing scales, and presentation quality in all deliverables.

•⁠ ⁠Coordinate with internal teams to manage drawing versions and document control.

•⁠ ⁠Support quantity take-offs and preparation of bill of materials from drawings.

*Required Skills & Qualifications:*

•⁠ ⁠Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline.

•⁠ ⁠Experience as a draughtsman in civil/structural roles, preferably in solar or renewable energy.

•⁠ ⁠Proficient in *AutoCAD (2D & 3D), tools.

•⁠ ⁠Strong understanding of civil and structural drafting standards and detailing.

•⁠ ⁠Knowledge of solar PV mounting structures, foundation systems, and site layout planning.

•⁠ ⁠Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings.

•⁠ ⁠Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

•⁠ ⁠Experience in ground-mounted and rooftop solar projects.

•⁠ ⁠Basic knowledge of structural design or solar PV system components.
