Software Tester

Job Description – Software Tester / QA Engineer (0–2 Years Experience) Role & Responsibilities Execute manual test cases to ensure the quality and stability of web, mobile, or desktop applications. Review requirements, specifications, and technical documents to identify potential issues or gaps. Assist in preparing detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing as required. Identify, document, and track defects using issue-tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to understand features and clarify issues. Validate bug fixes and verify that new features meet acceptance criteria. Support automation engineers by understanding automation scripts and frameworks (optional for fresher). Maintain test evidence, logs, and documentation for audit and reporting purposes. Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and techniques. Preferred Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field. 0–2 years of experience as a Software Tester or QA Intern (projects or academic work accepted). Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals, SDLC, and STLC. Ability to write and execute basic test cases, test scenarios, and bug reports. Familiarity with testing types: functional, regression, smoke, integration, and UAT. Experience with tools like Jira, TestRail, Postman, or Selenium (basic knowledge acceptable). Understanding of web technologies and APIs is a plus. Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation (preferred but not mandatory). Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Eagerness to learn new testing tools, methods, and industry best practices.
