Software Test Engineer

Role Overview: As an Automation Test Engineer at Mallow Technologies, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts for mobile applications. You will collaborate with the development team and QA members to ensure high-quality product delivery. Your role will involve executing automated regression suites, performing functional and compatibility testing, and supporting manual testing when required. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Appium or any other related tool for mobile applications (Android/iOS). - Collaborate with developers, QA team members, and business analysts to understand requirements and define test scenarios. - Execute automated regression suites as part of the CI/CD pipeline. - Perform functional, regression, and compatibility testing for mobile platforms. - Log, track, and retest defects in Jira (or equivalent). - Support manual testing when required, focusing on exploratory and edge-case scenarios. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - 2+ years of hands-on experience with Appium or any other related tool (Java/Python preferred). - Good understanding of mobile testing concepts (UI, gestures, device compatibility, network conditions). - Experience with TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle, and Git for version control. - Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). - Familiarity with bug tracking tools like Jira or Azure Boards. - Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in an Agile environment.
