Software Test Analyst Senior ( Automation, Java with Selenium, Banking/Payment)

As a Software Test Analyst, Senior, youll play a key role in the development of fintech products that are changing the way the world pays, banks and invests. This will involve consulting on software development or operations processes, quality practices, quality audits and software measurements.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Must haves

• 8+ years of related experience in QA / software testing space.
• Minimum 4 years of automated testing experience.

Domain Knowledge

• Experience in Banking/Financial Services applications and payment systems.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum ceremonies.

Collaboration & Mentorship

• Work closely with Delivery Managers, Project Managers, and stakeholders to meet timelines.
• Mentor/Lead junior team members and promote knowledge sharing within the QA team.

Automation Tools & Programming

• Familiarity with API testing tools like Bruno, RestAssured and frameworks such as BDD/TDD.
• Experience with Cucumber and BDD frameworks for behavior-driven development and test automation.

Test Planning & Design

• Create detailed test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures for functional, integration, and system testing.
• Document and report software defects clearly to development teams.

Automation & Continuous Improvement

• Develop, maintain, and upgrade manual and automated test scripts for UI and API test cases.
• Drive automation testing improvements and implement best practices for efficiency.

Defect Management & Quality Assurance

• Manage and lead defect triage meetings, ensuring timely resolution.
• Perform functional and automated testing on end-to-end systems, including payment platforms.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and exhibit ownership and accountability.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ISO20022.
• Knowledge of SWIFT MT/MS messaging and flows.
• Knowledge/experience testing of payment systems.

• Proficiency in Selenium (Java), Protractor, or Cypress for automation scripting.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
