Job Description

Role Overview


The Marketing Insights & Localization Specialist will be responsible for gathering local user insights, monitoring cultural and social trends, and integrating marketing resources to support headquarters in shaping effective OS marketing strategies. This role bridges global and local teams, ensuring product positioning, content, and campaigns resonate with local users and deliver strong market impact.


Key Responsibilities


1. Input of Local User Insights

  • Conduct in-depth research on local users’ smartphone software usage habits (functional preferences, pain points, scenario needs, etc.).
  • Prepare and present

    user portrait analysis reports

    to support HQ marketing strategy formulation.
  • Track local users’ evaluations and preferences of competing OS software, identify differentiated marketing opportunities, and highlight product strengths.

2. Capture of Social Hotspots and Trends

  • Monitor local social hotspots, festivals, and cultural events to provide

    timely marketing suggestions

    aligned with OS features.
  • Analyze local social media content trends over social media, predict user attention areas, and recommend topics for content creation.

3. Integration of Local Marketing Resources

  • Expand and manage local marketing resources, including KOLs, offline retail channels, and local media platforms.
  • Build and update a

    resource database

    with feasibility assessments for collaborations.
  • Facilitate cooperation between HQ and local resources (e.g., KOL campaigns, OS feature promotion events, joint offline activities).

4. Localization of Headquarters’ Marketing Materials

  • Translate and adapt HQ marketing materials (product copy, video scripts, activity guidelines, etc.) into the local language, ensuring

    cultural appropriateness and clarity

  • Prevent cultural taboos and misinterpretations in localized content.

5. Training and Collaboration with Local Employees

  • Partner with the local product team to train marketing and sales staff on

    product knowledge

    for consistent and accurate promotion.
  • Establish a

    feedback communication mechanism

    , gather frontline user insights, and synchronize with HQ for material and strategy optimization.


Job Requirements


Language Skills


  • Proficiency in the local official language(s) and mainstream dialects.
  • Strong English communication skills.


Core Competencies

  • Minimum

    3 years of experience

    in marketing (IMC, social media management, or related fields).
  • Strong

    user insight and trend analysis skills

    ; ability to identify marketing opportunities from daily social phenomena.
  • Excellent

    resource integration and networking abilities

    ; prior connections with local KOLs and channels preferred.
  • Effective

    cross-cultural communication skills

    , capable of collaborating with both global teams and local partners.
  • Prior experience in the

    smartphone or technology industry

    is preferred.
