Primary Responsibilities Analyze and understand the functional and technical requirements Implement solutions aligned to the enterprise strategy leveraging strategic tools/technologies, patterns, processes Participate in Agile/Scrum development process Troubleshoot and debug applications Communicate effectively with other engineers and QA Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree, with a focus in Computer Science or Information Technology or comparable experience 6+ years of proven programming background in Java or Groovy 3+ years of proven JavaScript and building user interfaces. Hands on experience in building webservices, RESTful API, Spring etc. Hands-on development experience with management and implementation of APIs and microservices Experience with complex development patterns, particularly around extending/enhancing current portal capabilities Experience in business process improvement or business process re-engineering projects and working closely with business and operations teams Solid grasp of Software Engineering and Object-Oriented Design principals Knowledge or exposure to implementing BPM solutions using one of the top BPM products (preferably Camunda) Solid understanding of Agile methodology Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Product Owners and Design leads to implement robust automation solutions Preferred Qualifications Experience with Healthcare Knowledge of Cloud Exposure to form.io At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
