Python IP Networking Developer

Required Technical Skill Set

Python Scripting, SNMP, IP Networking and Network Security experience,

Desired Experience Range

4 - 10 years

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have

1. 2-8 years of strong experience in Python scripting and test automation.

2. Good programming knowledge using Python and test frameworks, dashboards, report generation for test summary

3. Hands-on proficiency in at least one API testing tools, Netconf, SNMP, gRPC, gNMI or Network Device CLIs

4. Strong understanding of IP networking protocols like OSPF, BGP, RIP, ISIS, MPLS, STP, VLAN, LACP etc and testing for protocol compliance and performance

5. Extensive experience in handling IXIA, and Spirent traffic generators.

6. Should have knowledge in GIT, Jenkins, JIRA, and Agile workflow

Good-to-Have

1. Knowledge in AWS/Azure services

2. Knowledge of triaging bugs, test topologies for network devices

3. Experience in Flask framework, REST APIs, Django

4. Understanding on Docker containerization and VNFs or CNFs

Role descriptions / Expectations from the Role

• Design test solutions and implement them.

• Write efficient, robust, and maintainable code

• Active interaction with team member’s, team lead and Client in review meetings to evaluates the progress and performance

• Provide technical guidance and be a technical mentor to team. To lead team in technical design and grooming activities

• Contribute to test frameworks, test scripting and test suites, groom the engineers on testing approaches like TDD, MDD, BDD

• Employ industry best practices to deliver world-class solutions. Ensure developed solutions remain compliant with all applicable company standards
