Software Engineer

Role Overview: As a Software Engineer at Shirpur Hospital, your primary responsibility will be to develop, customize, integrate, and maintain hospital software systems, including HMIS, EMR, PACS, LIS, and other clinical/non-clinical applications. You will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth software operations, data integrity, and compliance with healthcare IT standards such as HL7, FHIR, and ABDM. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain hospital-specific software modules and applications. - Customize and enhance existing HMIS/EMR/PACS/LIS functionalities based on user feedback and workflow requirements. - Integrate third-party APIs and systems (billing, pharmacy, lab, radiology, etc.). - Work on HL7/FHIR-based integrations between HMIS, PACS, LIS, and other healthcare systems. - Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure data interoperability and ABDM compliance. - Design and optimize SQL databases for hospital applications. - Manage data backups, data migration, and performance tuning. - Provide second-level support for hospital software issues raised by the IT Helpdesk. - Troubleshoot application errors and coordinate with vendors for escalations. - Maintain detailed technical documentation for all customizations and integrations. - Ensure all developments meet healthcare IT compliance standards (HL7, FHIR, ABDM, DISHA). - Work closely with biomedical engineers, clinical departments, and IT infrastructure teams to align technology with hospital workflows. - Liaise with software vendors and implementation partners for deployment and support. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (BE / BTECH, BCA / MCA, BSC IT). - 3+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2-3 years in the healthcare/hospital domain. - Experience with HMIS/EMR/PACS/LIS systems preferred. - Knowledge of ABDM/NDHM compliance and data privacy regulations is a plus.,
