Web Engineer Intern

who is passionate about building clean, user-friendly web applications. This internship offers hands-on experience working on production-grade systems that impact millions of users. You’ll collaborate with a talented engineering team, receive mentorship, and contribute to real features while learning modern web development practices at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing web application features that enhance the Poshmark user experience.
  • Write scalable, high-performance, and maintainable code using modern web technologies.
  • Work with web frameworks and technologies involving frontend, databases, and caching layers.
  • Support performance tuning and optimization of web applications.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, QA, DevOps, and Engineering teams.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and team meetings to learn best practices.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  • Basic experience or academic exposure to web development (projects, coursework, or internships).
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following is a plus:
  • Node.js, React, Vue, Angular,
  • NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
  • Cloud platforms (AWS or similar)
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Eagerness to learn, problem-solve, and build user-focused applications.
