Key Responsibilities: Test Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for both backend and frontend applications. Write clean, maintainable, and effective test code using various automation tools and programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.). Test Strategy & Planning: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define testing strategies. Define and implement automated test plans, test cases, and test data to ensure full test coverage across different application modules. Test Execution & Reporting: Execute automated test scripts in continuous integration (CI) pipelines to ensure rapid feedback on the quality of code changes. Identify, report, and track defects found during test execution, ensuring that issues are effectively documented and addressed. Collaboration & Mentorship: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve software quality by providing insights and suggestions on test automation best practices Mentor junior SDETs and guide them in adopting efficient test automation strategies and techniques. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for automation, performance improvement, and process optimization within the testing and development lifecycle. Qualifications & Skills: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 3+ years of experience in software development and test automation. Technical Skills: Experience in at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript) Experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium, Appium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, or similar. Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and processes.
